Kristian Nairn (born November 25, 1975, in Lisburn, Northern Ireland) is a Northern Irish actor, DJ, and musician best known for his iconic portrayal of Hodor in HBO’s Game of Thrones (2011–2014, 2016). His performance allowed him to buy a home for his mother and launched a parallel career as a progressive house/trance DJ—touring globally with his “Rave of Thrones” sets and opening for acts like Steve Aoki and Fatboy Slim . Beyond that, he played Wee John Feeney in Our Flag Means Death (2022–2023), and has appeared in films such as Mythica: The Godslayer and Unwelcome  . In 2024, he published his memoir, Beyond the Throne, sharing his journey from Belfast’s Troubles to international stardom, drag performance, and DJ culture  . Nairn is also openly gay and has advocated for LGBTQ+ visibility since 2014  .
