
RASHA RIZK
Rasha Rizk (also spelled Rezq or Rizq; born March 5, 1976 in Damascus, Syria) is a renowned Syrian singer-songwriter, voice actress, composer, and opera performer. She began formal vocal training at age 9 and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus. She gained fame across the Arab world for singing and composing iconic Arabic theme songs for animated series such as Detective Conan, Digimon, Pokémon, My Little Pony, and more through the Venus Centre. In 2003, she performed in the first Arabic-language opera Ibn Sina, and later co-founded the Syrian jazz band Itar Shame3. Her album Malak earned her two Grammy nominations in 2017. Rasha currently resides in France, teaches music, and remains an active performer and composer.
