
TUSHIO FURUKAWA
Toshio Furukawa (born July 16, 1946, in Tochigi, Japan) is a legendary Japanese voice actor, actor, and narrator, affiliated with Aoni Production. With a career spanning over fifty years since 1972, he’s lent his voice to some of anime’s most iconic characters: Piccolo in Dragon Ball, Portgas D. Ace in One Piece, Ataru Moroboshi in Urusei Yatsura, Kai Shiden in Mobile Suit Gundam, Shin in Fist of the North Star, and many more . A two-time recipient of the Seiyu Awards (2014, 2016) and winner of a Merit Award in 2024, Furukawa is renowned for his versatility—from comedic to dramatic roles—and continues to voice characters in recent series like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Hantengu, 2023) and Uzumaki (2024) .
